We believe that with good education it is possible to break the cycle of poverty and achieve a better future for children and their families.
The aim of the HSH Trust sponsoring system is to make it possible for children in a vulnerable position to go to school, who otherwise would not have the opportunity to go to school. We pay the Trust children’s school fees, get them uniforms and other necessary school supplies.
By supporting children’s well-being, we can influence whether children stay in school.

HSH Feeding Program
The HSH Feeding Program was the first official project of our organization and it started in Makongeni preschool in January 2016.
The project was born from a conversation with preschool teachers, when they talked about children’s concentration difficulties and absences caused by stomach aches. We investigated the matter and the cause of the problems was revealed to be hunger.
Some preschoolers walk a long way to school on an empty stomach, because many families cannot afford to provide breakfast at home. Malnutrition among preschoolers is common and completing the school day on an empty stomach is a tough task.
HSH Feeding Program offers Preschoolers porridge every school day. As a result of the project, the children’s ability to concentrate and cope has improved significantly, and the project has received a lot of positive feedback from both teachers and parents.
In 2021, we expanded our porridge program to also cover preschoolers in Gazi village.
In 2024, the project will be expanded and the elementary school children of Makongeni village will also be able to enjoy morning porridge.
