WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS

The purpose of our HSH Babyshower project is to support mothers in a weaker position. The project started already in 2016, but in 2021 we focused on developing the project and launched a new maternity workshop concept.

We organize annual HSH Babyshower events for expectant mothers in the area. The events include pregnancy and motherhood-focused workshops for expectant mothers and mothers who have just given birth.

In the workshops, mothers get to hear important information about nutrition, hygiene and skin care, child first aid, vaccinations and obtaining a birth certificate, among other things. Each mother is also given her own maternity packages at the events.

Our workshops are led by Clara. She is a mother of three children, a lifeguard, an emergency nurse and a maternity worker at the county hospital. Clara understands the culture and environment in which mothers live. She knows how background, culture and religion affect the life of a mother and her child. She also has a lot of information about natal clinic services and general government services in the area.
