We work in cooperation with the Kwale county office of child affairs. One of the cooperative projects is HSH Haki Kit, which aims to support the rights of girls in cases of abuse and physical violence. The project offers a possibility for a P3-test and other support to enable legal processes following a case of abuse.

The P3-test is required in order to make a report of offence. Through interviews and background research, we found out that a large proportion of the crimes are not reported, and the offenders are not put into responsibility. Often the reason is that the girl or family cannot afford the P3-test, which costs 1000 KSH (appx. 10€).

In addition to P3-tests, we have supported these cases with travel expenses (eg. from home to the court), DNA-tests and therapy visits.
